Dental Patient Financing
A number of our cosmetic dentistry clients notified us in the last couple of days that we needed to remove Capital One Healthcare Finance from their websites. Apparently, Capital One is leaving the patient finance business effective April 9th or 10th.
I just checked on Google and it appears that the main Capital One Healthcare Finance website has already been taken down, although their dental patient finance website is still standing for now.
Obviously, the credit crunch is having an impact in the patient finance business as well. While I do not know which of these are still actively offering dental patient financing, here are a few possible alternatives if you are looking to replace Capital One:

Financing alternative
Another financing alternative you may want to consider is DOCPAY. DOCPAY provides automated monthly payments using either the patient's bank account or credit card. Hundreds of dentists across the U.S. are currently using this service. In fact, when CareCredit was purchased by GE Finance several years ago, CareCredit had a division (originally purchased from the Pride Institute) that was doing recurring ACH payments for doctors. GE Finance required CareCredit to divest itself of that division because it was not collecting interest on the pay plans. CareCredit chose DOCPAY to continue processing the payments of their existing payment plan clients (over 300 dental practices). They wanted to choose a company that would take good care of their clients and we are pleased that they chose DOCPAY over all the other alternatives. Since then, DOCPAY has continued to grow and is now one of the leading providers of automated payment processing for healthcare offices. Find out more at www.docpay.com
Financing alternative
This sounds like a viable alternative worth looking into. Thanks for the post.
