Laser periodontal treatment
Using lasers to treat periodontal conditions is state of the art technology.
Lasers kill off over 93 percent of the bacteria that cause gum and bone disease- without surgery!
In fact, the treatments are generally totally painless .
See the following comments from one very satisfied individual
Mark and Staff,
Your new laser treatment for Periodontal disease and cleaning is
truly awesome. Usually after intense cleaning and scaling my mouth
feels like an army trampled through- but within a matter of minutes
it felt like healing was beginning to happen. Within 12-24 hours of
intense work on one of my molars the tooth seemed to be much more
comfortable than it had been in many months and the sensitivity to
temperature and sugar was gone.
Now 36 hours later I can say that it feels better than it has felt in
years. I am anxious to hear how it affects other patients. Maybe now
I can get my mouth back to health and keep it there.
Thanks for all you do,
Jer

Who should consider having laser gum treatment?
This is very interesting. Is this something that everybody should have to remove the bad bacteria from the gums? Is it something that people should consider after a certain age?
I would appreciate any feedback.
Laser therapy beats surgery!
From a comfort perspective, patients with periodontal disease that can be treated with lasers would much prefer this option over gum surgery. After all, who really wants gum surgery, anyway? I'm aware that in certain circumstances, surgery is indicated to save teeth, but when it can be avoided, most patients will avoid surgery. However, there is considerable disagreement between dentists who routinely do gum surgery and those that routinely do laser therapy. Each group has literature to back up their claims as to the best course of action. If it were me, I think I would like to try laser therapy first. Sounds way more comfortable than surgery, and if it's effective, why not?!
